Privacy Policy

Privacy. It’s in our DNA.

My Password Guru aims to collect as little data about you as possible. The My Password Guru website, Guru app, and Guru browser extension’s data collection policies are outlined below.

Guru app

The Guru app uses the Have I Been Pwned API to check your login emails and passwords. Your passwords are never sent in clear text, or in complete form over the Internet, and only a hash is sent when checking your passwords. You can refer to Have I Been Pwned’s privacy policy here.

No other data is sent to the Internet when you use the Guru app, aside from Apple’s own analytics. Apple’s privacy policy can be found here.

Guru extension

The Guru extension may use third party libraries that collect and process identifiable information, such as your IP address or general location.

Data stored in the Guru extension is never sent to the Internet or to any other remote server for processing.
